Features

Rooms & Areas

Organize everything by space — Living Room, Garage, Primary Bath, Exterior — or file it under the whole home. Pick from a built-in catalog of common rooms or type your own.

Multiple Properties

A second home, a rental, or a parent’s house — each with its own rooms, items, and contacts, kept separate but always a tap away.

Search Everything

One field at the top searches every room, item type, brand, code, model, and serial across the whole home. Names write themselves, too — HomeKeep derives “Kitchen HVAC Filter” from what you entered.

Scan to Fill

Photograph a paint can lid, a filter edge, or a model and serial plate. HomeKeep reads the text on-device with Apple’s Vision framework and offers the fields it recognized. No image ever leaves your iPhone.

You Always Confirm

Apply all, some, or none of the detected fields. Typing by hand is always available and never blocked by a bad scan — and the label photo is kept with the item even when nothing is recognized.

Ten Kinds of Record

Paint, filters, bulbs, appliances, batteries, caulk and sealant, finishes, insurance, utilities — each with the fields it actually needs — plus a free-form record for anything else.

Store View

A stripped-down screen showing the fields that identify the item, biggest first: color code, filter size, bulb base, model number. Readable at arm’s length, and it opens instantly with no signal.

Reminders That Suggest Themselves

Enter a filter interval and HomeKeep proposes the next change date; enter a warranty expiration and it proposes a reminder before it lapses. Notifications fire locally, with no server involved.

One Due List

Every reminder across the home in a single list, soonest first, with overdue items called out. Note how often something recurs and the next one is easy to set.

Manuals & Receipts

Attach photos and PDFs to any item — manuals, receipts, before-and-after shots, the warranty card — and read them full-screen in the app. Stored as real files, so backups stay clean and portable.

Contacts & Service Log

Plumber, electrician, HVAC tech, HOA, landscaper — with trade, phone, email, and notes. Link them to items and rooms, and keep a log of each visit: the date, what was done, and what it cost.

Backup & Export

One file with every item, photo, and document, saved wherever you want it — and restored onto a new device just as easily. A plain CSV export covers anything HomeKeep doesn’t do.

Why HomeKeep?

1

Built for the moment you’re standing in the aisle

Store View is a deliberate screen, not an afterthought: the identifying fields in large type, readable at arm’s length, working with zero bars of signal.

2

The camera does the typing

Photograph a paint lid or a model plate and HomeKeep reads it on-device and offers the fields. Thirty seconds of capture saves a wasted trip months later.

3

Typed records, not a notes app

Paint has a finish and a surface. Filters have a MERV rating. Appliances have a serial and a warranty date. Ten kinds of record know what they need, so nothing important gets left out — with a free-form type for whatever’s left.

4

Reminders that come from the data

Enter a filter interval and HomeKeep suggests the next due date. Enter a warranty expiration and it suggests a reminder before it lapses. No separate scheduling chore.

5

Genuinely private, genuinely offline

No account to create, no network required, nothing collected. iCloud sync is opt-in and uses your own private database.

6

Your data stays yours

A full backup — every item, photo, and PDF in one file — plus a CSV export, always available with no upsell.

7

The whole house, including the people

Rooms, items, documents, reminders, and the contractors who service them, in one place, across more than one property.

No account. No ads. No tracking.

Your home stays on your device. There is no sign-in, no analytics SDK, and nothing collected — the App Store privacy label says so. Turn on iCloud sync and your data moves through your own private iCloud account; leave it off and the app is complete on one device.

HomeKeep is free, with every feature unlocked. If it saves you a trip to the store, the tip jar is open.
